First, know that I am not one to leave reviews, but knew that I had to leave a review for the exceedingly exceptional services received at South 40 Veterinary Hospital. Every single member of the staff was so compassionate and caring about not only my dog, but me as the pet owner as well. There was a scheduling mix up, but knowing that I drove over an hour to get there, they went out of their way to make sure I received the service expected and even made a few phone calls to ensure the team members that were needed would be there. They went above and beyond my expectations the entire visit and could not have provided better services. If I could, I would give them 10 stars and highly recommend them! South 40 Veterinary Hospital is the BEST vet experience I have ever had. Alyssa & Dr. Lee were knowledgeable, passionate, & caring. I drove 1.5 hours to get a diagnosis for my cat & Dr. Lee was just as (if not, more than) motivated as I was to find the answer. I cannot stress enough how much I recommend Dr. Lee & Alyssa. We took our Chocolate Lab Levi in when he started limping for unknown reasons. Had yet to use a local vet in the area and decided to give South 40 a try. They far exceeded our expectations! Paige the vet assistant was awesome and took care of Levi as if he was hers. Dr. Ryan Lee was extremely professional and provided excellent care for Levi. The facility was extremely clean and state-of-the-art! Definitely recommend South 40 to anyone who is hesitant taking their Fur Child in for a check up. It’s was very obvious they care about the animal and not just a money hungry vet office!!

I would absolutely trust this place with my dog. Since moving to the area, we’ve had a difficult time finding a vet that would give us consistent results and respond to our request. We brought our dog in recently and while we walked out with some incredibly heartbreaking news, this team was very thoughtful and compassionate. The bedside manner of the team was almost perfect with a couple of hiccups (it’s definitely a young assistant team that hasn’t quite learned how to approach people that are going through a loss with sensitivity).

We’ve been using South 40 for about 5 years for typically normal routine stuff as well as some teeth cleanings for our smaller pups however we recently had an after hours emergency on a Sunday evening and they were super on top of it and was even able to meet us within an hour of first calling!
Our pup had to have some emergency surgery and they did it all right on the spot after calling the emergency hotline and meeting them on site of course.
Dr. McCann & Alica are wonderful and such an incredible team!
Is South 40 the most affordable vet in town no, are they the most expensive no BUT they do excellent work and they genuinely CARE about their patients and that’s what matters!
Our pets are part of our family and truthfully you can’t put a price on that ❤️
